Mazda6 designers borrowed the term to describe the mechanism of ‘magically’ transforming the rear seats of the Hatch and Wagon to a completely flat load surface, all with the easy flick of a lever from the boot space.The fully flat load surface has obvious advantages, and when combined with the fact that no head rests need to be taken off, no seats need to be moved forward, and that all this can be done from the rear of the vehicle without opening the side doors, the convenience and ease this provides ensures complete flexibility and versatility.

The new Mazda6 Sports range features chrome door handles matched to 5-spoke 16 inch high gloss alloy wheels on Sports models and 10-spoke 17 inch alloy wheels on Classic Sports models. Combined with Mazda6’s aggressive, sporty appearance it all promises an exciting and dynamic drive.
All Sports and Diesel models feature a rear spoiler while the Classic Sports features a full body kit comprising: front and rear aero bumpers, side air dam skirts, and rear boot spoiler.

Mazda6 – Handles it all, with ease.
Much of the thrill of driving a Mazda6 is in the handling. So when it comes to refinements, Mazda engineers didn’t cut any corners. The body and chassis are stiffened for sharper handling and stability as well as a more comfortable ride. The double wishbone front suspension and E-type multi-link rear suspension are tuned to ensure Mazda6 delivers the perfect balance between predictable handling and superior ride comfort.

Constructed of light-weight aluminium alloy, the 2.3 litre in-line 4 cylinder 16 valve DOHC engine with Sequential Valve Timing (S-VT) delivers 122kW of power and 207Nm of torque for superior performance, particularly in off-the-line and passing acceleration.
Combine this with a new drive-by-wire electronic throttle and you can take full advantage of the engine’s flat torque characteristics and outstanding fuel economy.
To fully realise the engine’s potential, choose from two smooth shifting transmissions: a slick shifting, 6-speed manual or 5-speed Activematic.
Mazda6 Diesel
Available in hatch or wagon guise, matched to a short throw 6-speed manual and boasting 105kW of power and 360Nm of torque from 2000rpm the 2.0-litre direct injection diesel engine consumes just 5.9L/100km (combined cycle) which means Mazda6 Diesel can travel more than 1000 kilometres on one tank of fuel.
